So as some of you may or may not know, I have had a really rough 2 weeks or so.

It all started with pain and swelling in my right wisdom tooth. I was in pain for about two days, self medicating with soup and denial until I decided to suck it up and go to the dentist.

This was a pain (pun intended), because I only work part time and do not have dental coverage... so ya, I was pissed at the amount of money I spent for the dentist to look at my teeth for 5 minutes, take an x-ray and prescribe me some pills. That wasn't even the worst of it... not by far... this was just the beginning... but I digress.

I got antibiotics for an infection that had occurred because my wisdom teeth had "impacted." Meaning my bottom wisdom teeth were pushing on my back teeth and had also grown in at a 90 degree angle. So, now I'm on the hook for wisdom teeth removal in the new year at a cost between $750 and $1000.

Why am I telling you all of this? It's relevant, I swear! (And if you want to donate to my wisdom teeth fund - contact me. ANY size donation is welcome!)

Okay... back to the story at hand...

So I start taking my meds thursday of last week... things are going good... by saturday morning I can eat solid food again!

However, Sunday afternoon, I start to feel a bit sick... nausea... it happens, I'm not worried. I go to bed early sunday night.

3 am rolls around and I wake up feeling a bit sick. I won't go into the gory details, but that was the first of many successive vomiting episodes that followed. The last one was so violent and bad that I passed out.

I was so weak I couldn't stand, so no - I didn't go to the doctor.

Now (4 days later - thursday) I am finally back on solid food again.

Do I know what caused it? No... I suspect it was one of 3 things; a reaction to my tooth meds, a medication interaction, or a stomach flu.

Honestly, I am just so glad it's over that I really don't care what it was... I stopped my tooth meds on monday and so far the pain and swelling hasn't returned. I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything will just keep going well.

So this is the reason I have been absent from facebook/replying to emails.

We have a private party coming up in a week so I am thrilled to be healthy again. Frankly, I need some serious foot attention. I am very glad it is only a week away!

There is something else I want to talk about though... my new guilty pleasure... Jersey Shore. (MTV show... Youtube link posted below!)

Does anyone else watch this show? I am fascinated and at the same time repulsed by this show! The show revolves around a group of Guidos and Guidettes (the female version of a Guido) that are in a house on the Jersey Shore for the summer.

The show has the Italian-American Group UNICO up in arms because they say it shows stereotypes of Italians (Article Link Here), but let's be honest - MTV isn't known for making thought provoking TV history making shows.

As a second generation Italian (parents from Italy, but I was born here), I have to say, the stereotypes are bad. But any semi-intelligent person would know that stereotypes are not representative of the truth.

I say the show is my guilty pleasure because I hate the fact that I watch it, yet I can't help myself.

Does anyone else have a guilty pleasure show? or watch this insane show?
